Improvements to Benson Park

On the evening of August 14th, there will be a public meeting at Benson Park Pavilion. The purpose of this meeting is to gather input from park users and neighborhood residents on improvements that can be made to the overall park area. The improvements focus on the park area west of Cole Creek, but do not include the existing ice rink building. This will be discussed in future meetings.

Once the information is gathered, a park master plan will be developed that shows the proposed improvements, which will be implemented over a period of time. Specific items within the park to discuss include: picnic areas, walking trails, parking areas, tennis/basketball courts, playground, lagoon, pavilion and other buildings, and the open space/landscape.
