Perhaps the library could send representatives to local long-term care facilities and distribute best-sellers lists of titles that are popular with senior citizens or persons in rehabilitation or long-term care. The lists could provide a short synopsis of each title. Then the library could coordinate for the delivery of books on tape or hard copy selections that the residents pick from the lists. The representatives would collect the titles on their due dates from a "drop" box or coordinate with the residents for extensions of the due dates.
