The downtown library should seem more like a social hub, have some vendors as mentioned and take advantage of the downtown location. Have some speakers in from local presses and have book discussions. In general make literary events engaging. Perhaps the library could target the college crowd because not all of the libraries on campus have the selections like the library does and sometimes inter library loan takes too ling. In general make the library seem more community focused. Is it possible to spruce it up, Better landscaping and more open spaces if possible?
