I would suggest getting the word out to metal collectors that they need to register for the event so they know they should go to the location nearest to them. Some of them show up the day of the event with no advance notice which is unfair to the recyclers who played by the rules. I know getting the word out to them might be difficult because a lot of them are ad hoc operations, but it would be worth trying.
